fifthdreamWhen did i make an update last? No idea.
A week or so ago i decided to make some sugar cookies to munch on until i got to making the REAL Christmas food... or at least to get the whole thing out of my system a bit until it's time to make everything else. Well, my sister gave me a new recipe, and the cookies turned out so good, they were gone in three days. I made another batch the other night because i wanted more. XD I took half the batch of dough, and put peppermint extract into it, and took half of THAT dough, and dyed it red, and made candy cane cookies. Those are really good, too.
This morning i woke up way too early with a bug to find my missing tablet pen. I dropped it off the desk one day, and it simply disappeared. Since i had to move some speakers, and my desk and such to search, i ended up clearing out some clutter, clearing off and cleaning the desk, and somewhere along the line, i fixed the space key on my keyboard which was broken for a realy long time, but was kinda half-assed rigged to work (which was not-so-working lately). Also: Found the pen! Woot! Which means...
Now that i have use of a scanner, as of last night, i can work on some of the drawings that have been sitting untouched for months... or years. ;_; I scanned a bunch of pencil sketches that are in various states of unfinshed-ness. They're under the cut tag*. Keep in mind, most of them are barely more than layout sketches, not even close to done (and these aren't even good scans). But i hope to rectify that soon... and to start painting again. (I never thought i cared whether people looked at my stuff or not, but it seems it motivates me to actually finish things. If i'm my only audience, i already know what the finished product looks like in my head. I don't need to finish the work just to satisfy myself. So... yeah, scanner, motivation. Win.)
