Clionidae is a family of sea angels, which are a group of pelagic marine gastropods.

They are shaped a little like angels, and have flapping "wings", hence their common name. They are gelatinous, mostly transparent pteropods, and they only have shells in their embryonic stage. They are mostly very small, with the largest species (Clione limacina) reaching 5 centimeters (2 in).

The Clionidae use winglike flaps for rhythmical locomotion, as if flying in the sea. These "wings" are attached to the anterior part of the body. The posterior part is gelatinous and mostly transparent.

The orange visceral sac is confined to the anterior part.


They live in cold water, eat only once in their lifetimes, and produce offspring on their own, without mating.

This is what happened after i used the microwave this evening.


The glass was crackling and moving around the counter for a while after.

Absolutely effing hilarious. Even funnier considering i just watch "Akira" again the other day.

I just willed myself out of a dream where i was part of an identically-costumed super-powered team stuck in a tunnel-like bridge being attacked by an incredibly large snake-like machine at both ends. The bridge began collapsing and falling to the ground, many stories below. I felt myself go weightless as i was falling, and i used every ounce of concentration i had to phase slighly out of existence and come to rest safely on the ground, where i realized "It's night time, they can't see me!" and i escaped by travelling some distance on foot and sneaking into a civilian house in a neighborhood with strange, very detailed architecture. It all seemed as real as life. Then i woke up.

So. Say you mailed a bunch of books to yourself, and when you finally open the box a couple of weeks later, at least five books are missing, and a book you do not own is in the box. What do you think happened, and what should you do about it?
