Caffeinated Soap
Jul. 11th, 2002 06:50 pmI went outside to get the mail earlier, and it was almost chilly. It's been over 90 degrees every day here for about 10 days, but right now it's not even 70. It was breezy, and cloudy, and nice. I've got my window open wide for the first time in a long while, and i've got the shades open because i have a nice view of the cloudy sky from my room. It feels good in here, and it's nice to breathe some fresh air. I need it. It gets claustrophobic in here sometimes. Open shades and fresh air make it less so.
I'm working on breaking a couple of habits i have, and trying to pick up a couple of others. It gives me something to work on. I should have done it before, but it didn't annoy me much before; it was just kind of there. Nothing big, but something i feel like doing. :)
I've actually played a video game a couple of times since last night. That's a good sign. Video games are a great hobby for me. I used to think i was addicted to them, but i realize i'm not. To be addicted to something, it must be somehow important to you, and you must need it in some way. I LOVE games. They're great fun, and amuse me bunches, but i don't feel any importance in them. That's why they're a hobby. Now, what do you call something you like to do that IS important? My drawing is like that to me. It matters to me. I feel bad if i neglect it. Hmm...
I didn't even plan on writing anything.
I wonder if it will rain.
I would like it if it rained.
I wish, therefore it is.
Jul. 11th, 2002 09:10 pmThere's a pill out that lets people stay awake for fourty hours, and still stay alert.

How long before employers pay for these, and require workers to take them and work 30 hour shifts? Not long i bet... I remember when poeple were talking about how, soon, people would be working 30 hour, 4 day work weeks. But instead, now it seems people are working 60 hour weeks, and still have to have cell phones next to them in bed, so people from work can get a hold of them 24 hours a day. It's sad. Really. Soon, people aren't going to have home lives. There'll be no time to make or keep a family. Societies are made of families, not worker drones. That's called a hive. Welcome to hive society. We came from apes, but we'll end up as bees. How dystopian...
