I woke up with my tummy feeling yucky, and i turn on the tv, and citizens of Iraq are tearing down a statue of Saddam Hussein right in the middle of Baghdad. This is the image we'll probably see for 10 years after... like the footage of the Berlin Wall being torn down. I'm taping it, just because.

Now they're taking turns smashing the pillar that the statue is standing on with a sledgehammer.

And now they're taking the hammer up to the statue...

I did something i feel a little strange about last night. Some people in #G4TV and i were looking up random cosplay pics to see who could find the best ones. (For those that don't know, "cosplay" is when people make and dress up in costumes, usually of anime and video game characters.) I came across this picture on Google image search. I also came across this and this. After a little bit, some of us went to the main site. I was pretty impressed. A lot of cosplay pages i see are just Geocities sites full of snapshots of people at cons, and some of the costumes are horrible, but the ones on this site (the costumes and the pics) are very well done. She has costumes of a few of my very favorite fighting game characters (Chun Li, Mai Shiranui, Kasumi, Felicia), and even ones of Pikachu, as you've seen.

Now the part i feel weird about it this: I decided to link this page on my site... with a button, nonetheless. Not this button, but a similar one.



Now why do i feel weird? Well besides the facts that the site is anime related, and the site design and costumes are really really good, a part of the draw to the site is obviously that the costumes are being modelled by a very pretty girl. I mean, she has a pay section of the site... come on... But in admitting that some (and i will say, though, definitely not all) of the reason i like the page is the pretty girl. :P I admit it, alright? Get off my back. See? I feel a bit guilty about that. It makes me feel slightly shallow that i was like "oooh pretty girl, ooh neato costumes!", and that i would link her from my page, but there it is. I feel a little shallow, but i can admit it. I don't feel like it's a big thing, but... it feels bigger than it should. :P I'm not used to paying much attention to a person's physical appearance, not that i care that much, but like i said, it was a small part of why i liked and linked the site, and i had second thoughts about it, but i did it anyway. It feels odd, but i'll probably get over it soon. ;)

So yeah, that's my story of my struggle with my morality. Aren't you glad i decided to share? :P

More than half an hour later, they're still working on the statue. They've got a tank (or something similar), and they're wrapping a chain around the statue. Shouldn't be long now.....

Now i think i'll have a doughnut and get back to sleep. :)

EDIT: 10:51am, the statue has been pulled down and the people are jumping up and down on it. :)

Haha, i am so embarrassed right now. Hopefully your laughing isn't of the "haha what a loser" variety. ;) But yeah, i never thought when i wrote that that there'd be any chance of you actually seeing it. Ahh, well, i'm kind of honored, actually, hehe, and truthfully, i do love your website and costumes. In fact, your post reminds me to go look for your updates. :)
