Ham-Ham-Hamtaro!

I went to the comic show/convention today. Not much was going on there, but it was fun.

First Erica and i got some breakfast, and i bought some 10 cent candy sticks. Yay for 10 cent candy sticks.

Then we went to the show, and looked around a while.

I saw so many bootleg movies (like Spider-Man and Blade II and Episode 1) all over the place. There were stacks of tapes of DragonBall/Z/GT, and odd videos of auditions for Star Wars, and a bunch of Japanese porn (including a Sailor Moon/DBZ hentai video).

I got a few free comics, a poster, promo mini-CD roms for the movies "Eight Legged Freaks" and "Star Trek: Nemesis", and a Velma Scooby-Doo movie pin.

I saw part of a Cowboy Bebop movie playing on a tv.

I saw Charles Vess, but didn't know what to say, so i didn't talk to him.

There was some Goth guy selling swords.

I saw a Bastet statue just like mine on a table.

I bought two old comics for 50 cents a pop, an 8" tall holographic Sailor Mercury sticker for a dollar, and 4 pins for 2 bucks each: Hamtaro, Bijou, and Howdy from Hamtaro, and Ryo-Ohki from Tench Muyo. I got 14 Pokemon cards (including a Mew promo card) from a machine for a dollar.

The guy who sold me the pins asked if i watched Hamtaro, and asked what the American names of the character were. I remembered Bijou, but couldn't think of Howdy until i got home. He told me the Japanese names of them, but i already knew 'cuz i'm cool like that. ;)

Then we went to a mall and looked around a bit. Erica got a cool Misfits (from Jem and the Holograms) t-shirt. I got a little Nyago notebook from the Sanrio store for 42 cents.

Then we came home and i'm tired. So i think i will watch Hamtaro and take a nap before i sign on and post this. :)
