I wonder if i'm sick. I'll sleep, get up, still be tired, and end up sleeping a few more hours later, and go to bed really early. That's been the pattern for a few days. I'm wondering if i'm anemic. My sister fainted the other day, and the doctor says she's anemic and is having her take iron supplements. A close friend almost fainted at work a few weeks ago, and it turns out she needs iron, too. I know it runs in my family, so i wonder if this could be the reason i'm fairly tired all the time.

I've gained a tiny bit of my faith in humanity back lately. Unless the local "alternative" radio station is lying - and it easily could be - apparently by popular demand, they took off the stupid frat-boy radio show in the morning and replaced it with a regular old local DJ. And they've also decided to further expand their playlist to play more stuff like they did in when they started in the early 90's, which they've been doing little-by-little for a while now. It's sort of listenable again. What's cool is they do this thing where people can call in and vote on which of two bands to play next. Depeche Mode won once with 65% of the vote, the Cure won this morning with *82%* of the vote. Between the kicking-out of the morning show, the demand for more 90's alternative, and the big votes for good bands, i have some hope in humanity again. Just a little, but it's something.

And as i type this, they announced the next vote is Weezer vs Depeche Mode. Let's see who wins.

Now all they need to do is bring Greg "Ice" Berg back. He used to play every request i made at 3 in the morning. And i'd request stuff from the 80's, non-single nine inch nails songs, old Cure, etc. (I requested "88 Lines About 44 Women" by the Nails four nights in a row one time, and he played it every time. He always played stuff like that, and Morrissey, and Catherine Wheel... The good stuff. He was awesome.) Funny thing is, one of the reasons he got fired was for playing too many requests, supposedly. See, radio stations aren't supposed to play what you want to hear. If they say a song is "requested", it was, but it was already on the list to be played anyway. They just say it it was requested to make people feel like they have some input. They're actually only supposed to play the most recent single (so if you request, say, and old NIN song, they'll just play the most recent single, instead), or if the band is really huge, they'll occasionally allow another single out. But only if it helps sell records. The pessimist in me thinks that now that digital sales are common, they are allowed (by the record companies) to play more "odd" songs, because people can go buy them more easily, and that's the only reason it's happening. Not because the radio stations finally got "cool". ::shrug:: Regardless, if it makes radio better, i'm for it.

But yeah, when they fired Berg, i pretty much stopped listening to the radio. It went downhill, and kept doing so until just recently.

Aww, Weezer won, but only with 52%. And they're playing a Weezer song i've never heard. Didn't know there were any of those. So yeah, it's improving.

Anyway, i think i'll play some Final Fantasy XII, since i've been too busy or too tired to play more than an hour or so in the last three days. (At least i got some drawing done last night.) And Survivor starts again tonight, so i'm back to my Earl/Office/Survivor/Smallvile-all-on-at-the-same-time,-lucky-i-have-two-vcrs schedule again. Jeez. So hopefully i can be awake enough to get through all of that, and do some other things today.

I totally didn't mean to write so much.

Heheh, "Head Like A Hole" just came on the radio.
