...all the way home.
May. 13th, 2006 12:15 amGot a couple of PS2 games this week: Tony Hawk's Underground (sort of interested in it, liked the older Tony Hawk games, and it was very cheap), and Rampage: Total Destruction, which was also cheap, and i love the classic Rampage games. They're fun (especially two-player), and keep me occupied, and that's what counts.
Speaking of video games, i heard some interesting things tonight from people who have played the upcoming Nintendo "Wii": "I am in no way enthused about this anymore." "I am completely let down." "It's like GameCube with a $5 controller."
The word "disappointed" came up a lot, and a few times it was said that they wished certain games could be played without that controller, as it sort of ruined the gameplay. I also hear the controller is very inaccurate and over-sensitive. ::coughcoughPOWER GLOVE 2coughcough:: It also DOES have infrared, so it basically IS a remote with a motion sensor in it.
Sounds like a lot of things i've predicted about the Revolution for months might be true. And it does sound like the Wii isn't so much the next generation Nintendo console as the current one with a slight graphical upgrade and a different control scheme which games must be designed to utilize specifically... much like the DS is to the Gameboy.
::shrug::.
Time to take a shower and play some games... not necessarily in that order.
