Thanksgiving. Food.

Yes, food.

Turkey, green bean casserole, candied yams, mashed potatoes and gravy, two kinds of cranberry sauce, stuffing, banana bread, rolls, and the best pumpkin pie i ever had, with french vanilla Cool Whip on top... So good. And so many lefotvers, well, left over. Also had egg nog and iced tea and strawberry soda to drink. Yes, i drank all three.

The gerbils enjoyed some banana bread, too.

It may soon be time for the fabled after-dinner nap.

Last night, my sister, in her mad cleaning kick she's been on this week, uncovered an NES and brought it to me. It has the Zapper gun (but no game to play with it), Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3, Zelda 2, Kid Niki (i love Kid Niki), Mike Tyson's Punch Out, and a paint program called Videomation, which i used to use all the time back in the day. (I've also got Lunar Pool around here somewhere.) It also had 3 controllers o.O and an NES Advantage controller, which was the coolest. Now i need to hook it up and see if it works.

She also brought me an old mouse. I've been mouseless for months. I made do with the keyboard well enough that buying a mouse was low on my priority list, but when i plugged this one in, i remembered just how necessary a mouse really is. The thing is, this old mouse has clicking fits. One minute it won't click, and the next it clicks 8 times. So i eBayed a cheapo mouse for like 4 bucks. Hopefully it will work better than this one, and i won't find out the port is faulty, and not the mouse. (The last mouse i had sputtered out and died, but i'm 90% sure it was the mouse and not the port. I guess i'll find out soon.)

My sister showed me something incredibly weird today.

On the back of a box of a store brand "honey nut toasted oats" cereal is a little game for kids. You're supposed to fill out foods, musicsl acts, animals, and cities or states, beginning with certain letters. One line is already filled out as an example: the letter N.

Food: Nachos
Musical Act: Nine Inch Nails
Animal: Newt
City or State: New York

O.O What the...? Nine Inch Nails on a cereal box... O.O

I wish my scanner was working so i could show it. So so so odd.....

EDIT: Two minutes after posting this, i got a reply to this really old post. Wtf is up with cereal and my journal right now?
