This is so very freaky.
Okay, last night, i beat Phantasy Star II, something that had been left unaccomplished for almost 15 years. Previously, i had been at the very end of the game but never won.
Today, Cartoon Network ramdomly aired the very last episode of "Robotech". I never got the see the last episode, because the television station that aired it when i was a kid cut it off two days before it was over! This was in 1985! I watched the whole series and was deprived of the very end...
This is so odd that two bits of unfinished business from my early teen years have been resolved in less that 24 hours. I can really only think of three things like that that have happened to me. Two involve Robotech (i wanted the soundtrack since i was a kid, but i finally got that a couple of years ago), and not beating PSII. In one day, the last two happened. May not seem like a big deal to anyone else, but for me this is almost profound. Not that those unfinished events were huge deals, but these were kind of important things to me as a kid (Phantasy Star II was my first RPG, and "Robotech" made me realize animated shows could be more than "just for kids", and got me into anime. RPG video games and anime are two things that i consider major hobbies of mine to this day). For those things that were unfinished for 14-18 years to get wrapped up in one day? Especially since i've had PSII again for over a year, and had JUST finished it last night. I could have finished it when i first got it. I even stopped playing for a month in the middle. For both to things happen so close together completely coincidentally is.. Very strange... Very cool.
EDIT: I was wrong... That was not the last episode of "Robotech".. It was the next-to-last! The last one is on tomorrow! So i get to see the final two, the only two, episodes i missed 18 years ago!!!! ::Jaw drops.:: Okay, before it was freaky, and cool. Now it's strange and amazing beyond all belief. Way too coincidental that these things happened at the same time..... This is a personal moment in time for me. Wow...
