Oct. 18th, 2002 06:12 amI haven't made an update in a few days, and i feel like i should. Okay, i just wanted to have an excuse to do it, and i do now. :)
The other day was the last episode of G Gundam. What a sappy Sailor Moon ending, but i liked it a lot anyway. :)
Went out last night to pick up some shaving cream, and Tony Hawk 2 for DreamCast. I'm getting money for a picture i drew, so i thought i'd treat myself with some Tony Hawk.
After that, Erica and i went to IHOP to get coffee. Being the regulars we are, we get seated without having to say a word. (At Cracker Barrel last time, the guy there even told the waitress to take care of "my regulars" because we're in there all the time. ;) ) We got Andrew again. I don't know if you remember the story about him, but Andrew is 17, new, nervous, and not real good with people. Hey, that's no big deal, neither am i, but i don't work with them... He's just a tad over-anxious to please. He takes care of us, though.
Anyway, he got us coffee, and goes screwing around IHOP like he always does. We sit a while and i hear a guy in a booth behind us ask the person he's with, "You ever hear of Stephen Hawking"? o.O Then some guys in a booth on the other side of the room started talking about terrorism and airport security, and all the airports he got through without being checked.
Then Andrew came back and asked us if stuff is okay, and we say yeah... He goes off and i hear >>THUD<< "Ooops!" (i have my back to the rest of the room), and Erica starts cracking up... Apparently Andrew tried to flip a ketchup bottle and catch it, but didn't. Ooops, indeed. I think he was trying to impress Erica. But that's because Andrew likes Erica's head. He told her so. -s-
Andrew also forgot the check. He was sitting and screwing around with some guys who work there, too, and Erica had to ask him for the check. While he was getting it for us, i think one of the other guys at the table with Andrew stole the tip we left for Andrew on the table. That was funny.
Today was pretty ordinary, except that i just spent a bit of time fixing Erica's Mac, which was suffering from an unmountable hard drive. o.O That was scary. Personally, i thought it had died, but then i slowly started realizing that the hard drive was being detected, so it wasn't completely lost. Then after a little research after i'd figured out a bit more what the problem was, i ran the disk repair utility on the cd. It told me there were minor errors, except for the "serious error" that the hard drive was unmountable. Luckily, after running "repair" three times, the icons popped back up on the desktop, and it rebooted. I rock.
The moon was pretty tonight. :)
