Yesterday my game rentals came in the mail (Soul Calibur III and Rumble Roses), so i've been playing the crap out of them. Well, not so much Rumble Roses... It's every bit as cheesy as it looked like it would be, but it's fun for a few minutes at a time, and will probably be a bit better with two plauers. It's weird Japanese-ness, though, and that's always good. Soul Calibur III will suck all my time up until i have to send it back. Devious bastards and their crack-addictive unlockables... My created characters are the best ever. Maybe i'll take some grainy webcam screenshots of them later.

Speaking wasting a bunch of time... My sister got me a huge pile of one-dollar kung fu DVDs today. Eleven of them, with two movies a piece on each one, each movie averaging 90 minutes a piece... That's 33 hours of movies for $11. Some of the movies look pretty amusing, some look so bad they'll be good, and some just look bad - there are also a couple of Bruce Lee documentaries. But there seem to be a few gems in there, and i love me some cheesy kung fu movies, so these are great to have.

My sister also brought me like ten pounds of Halloween candy. Lollipops, choclate-y things, hard candy, more lollipops, some tootsie roll-like things (half chocolate-half fruit), candy corn, and even more lollipops... plus a buch of other odds and ends. That's my candy supply for the year. (I always have a lot of candy around, but i hardly eat it: i've still got a few pounds sitting around that probably too old to eat now. So, yeah, this will last a while.) She also got me a string of big black light bulbs. My sister rocks.

ALSO: Library-ness... "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome", completing the trilogy; "Kwaidan", a movie of traditional Japanese ghost stories; and "Grave of the Fireflies", the anime about orphaned kids who survived World War II. I've been wanting to see it, but just finally got a hold of it. How often do i have to say that my library owns? It totally does.

So, all that on top of Neil Gaiman's "Anansi Boys", which i'm about half way through (and all my sister's anime i have't watched yet), gives me lots of fun stuff to do for quite a wile. Nice.

EDIT: They're going to stop making Vanilla Coke. That's just disappointing.
