So, the rain turns to ice. It's lightning, but the thunder sounds like buzzing, not like thunder. Trees make odd noises, drop icy twigs. One starts shedding ice. Crack... Crack... BOOM. The ground shakes. Four or five branches are on the ground, a couple of them poking broken-end against the house. The air smells like cedar. The power is flickering a little.
I was going to go to bed soon, but now i'm too antsy. At least the ice is back to rain, which is kind of melting the icicles (Icicles!) and the ice on the trees, so maybe they'll stop falling apart for a while. I hope the power stays on. I don't feel like shivering all night.
