Today:
Making even more money on eBay. Sent off a bunch of items people bought from me.
I've been treating myself to some cheap CD's today. Sazabit reminded my about the Bones Domingo CD i've been wanting since around March, but had never had the chance to get. This CD features a song called "Violet" which was used in a commercial for the video game "Panzer Dragoon Orta". I really really loved the song, and it sounds so so similar to the music that runs in my head, but have not yet been able to actually create on my own. Lots of strings and a great beat, etc... And it's less than $7, so i PayPal'ed it.
My sister found a video in storage. It was from a subscription to a service that would send a tape of like 10 music videos each month that i used to be part of. She gave it to me, and i popped it in because it had a Portishead video ("Glory Box", which has been in heavy rotation lately), and "Ponderosa" by Tricky. I forgot how awesome Martine was. She's just <33333. So on a whim, i looked and found Tricky's "Maxinquaye" on eBay, Buy It Now for a dollar. So i bought it now. :D I've always wanted it, but it's other one i never got around to. I have a feeling i'll be playing thse two CD's a lot. Strings + Beats + Martine = <333333333333333.
Now i've got a couple of CD's to look forward to in the mail, which makes me immensely happy.
Also my sister gave me back my old scanner. I'm about to attempt to get it working, or i will before i go to bed. Wish me luck.
EDIT: Ick. I forgot i need the SCSI card out of the old computer. Maybe soon.......
My sister is going out of town for a week or so, in a week or so, and she's going to let me borrow her computer so i can *try* to install this hard drive in it and transfer a bunch of stuff from it to her computer, then to cd-r. I've got tons of stuff i don't want to get rid of, but that i don't use every day, and the hard drive is constantly filling up. Hopefully it won't be too big a hastle. Wish me luck on that too.
She's also supposed to be getting my keyboard out of storage... so maybe that music in my head *WILL* be created soon.
Cat has an awesome voice. :D
Happy Birthday Michelle! Wait, do they celebrate birthdays in Canada? ;D
Thank you!
