1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
Packed up everything I owned and moved away from a "significant other", learned to paint on the computer, got on TV twice, became a regular in an IRC channel, bought a DVD player, burned software to play on a game console, saw FLCL, ate octopus and cuttlefish, had a paid LiveJournal account, paid money to support websites I visit, swapped harddrives, a secret thing or two... probably lots more stuff.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make them. Well I did one year, and quickly learned not to.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not that I know of. o.O

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Again, not that I know of.

5. What countries did you visit?
None, but I lived in one.

6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
Um. I'll be polite and noncommital and say "female companionship". Yes. :) Oh, and lots of money. They're probably related. :/

7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The first half of 2003 is a messy blur, and the rest has been pretty noneventful, so no actual dates stand out, but recent things going on have been nice. A couple of very important friends of mine returned from whererveritwastheywere and became more important than ever, even if they aren't aware of it, and a few new people are around, which is really nice.....

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Living? I don't know. Having the foresight to go to a Pokemon event to acquire the Eon Tickets that are now giving me the pocket money I need to somewhat enjoy myself? Pfssht, i'm boring. OH, that F-A drawing, for a few reasons, is something i'm happy about. Creating it has kind of given me that "spark" back, to keep me interesting in actually doing my art.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Er, well, kind of ending back up exactly where and how I was a few years ago..... just kinda stuck, hoping I can figure out how to get myself out of it.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not that I can recall.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My DVD player, I suppose.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Ummm. Some of my friends are cooler than they could ever know,

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
No one's. o.o

14. Where did most of your money go?
Games and movies, as always...

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Something from the other day that is a secret. :) I was seriously bouncing around the house, grinning from ear to ear. So cool, I don't think it really sunk in. :) It was a nice, vain, self-satisfied, accomplished, proud-of-me moment, and I quite honestly can't recall having one of those before, so I enjoyed it.

16. What song will always remind you of 2003?
Most anything by Deftones.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Much happier, overall. Sadder, too, in some specific ways, but maybe "less numb" is more accurate.
ii. thinner or fatter? The same, I think.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer, but that's not saying much at all.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Human contact, in most forms.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Keeping my Emotional Wall up For My Own Good.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Eating dinner and hanging out with my family, and being on the computer all night, as always, I suppose. :P

22. Did you fall in love in 2003?
Mmmm... no. I crushed on people and inanimate objects representing them, but nothing beyond that.

23. How many one-night stands?
Heh, I don't do that. Well, in theory I don't. *Haven't* anyway. ;)

24. What was your favorite TV program?
I know there are shows I get excited about watching, but I can't think of a "favorite show".

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope, I don't believe I hate anyone.

26. What was the best book you read?
"Endless Nights", Neil Gaiman.

Bones Domingo, Tricky, and the Pillows.

Nothing more than minor material objects...

Um. None?

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I ate cake and ice cream and that was really it. 29.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
See #6.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?
Same as always, chief; black and black.

34. What kept you sane?
My incomprehensible ability to Deal, and kind words from friends, old and new.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Laura Swisher. Hot.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I plead the 5th.

37. Who did you miss?
Someone and now someone else.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Haha, yeah. I'll make this easy and say: You. :P

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2003:
I didn't learn anything *this year*, I just had many lessons reinforced and theories proven to me.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
"I am the Son and Heir of Nothing In Particular."
